Intel 810 Mainboard Ulities Linux Server Installation[1]
            Multimedia Enjoy Times!!

1. First we decided to install Video card server on Linux.
    We think youhave already done this:
        1. install the Xwindow system on you computerand linux console work
           smoothly.
        2. Know  how to type a command line in the console //:P
        3. Know  how to use the dialog box supplied by system. //:p
2. What we need:
   1. Linux 2.2[we recommended Redhat 6.2 or 6.1 version]
   2. Intel 810 Video card server for Linux :
       We can find it on
              ftp floder at:  /pub/driver/i810/ at 166.111.160.18
        Or other Ftp site on Cernet or Chinanet.
   [Note] Do not use the driver supplied by  Intel corp.It is very hard to g
et
the  driver  to work. Always  does not work and very  difficult to
compile.
   We need such files:
  [Redhat 6.0]
I810Gtt-0.1-rh60.i386.rpm
XFCom-i810-glibc2.1-1.0.0-rh60.i386.rpm
  [Redhat 6.1 or uppervision]
            I810Gtt-0.1-rh61.i386.rpm
XFCom-i810-glibc2.1-1.0.0-rh61.i386.rpm
   3.Start Installation!!
              Now the exciting moment coming!
After three lines we entered, we will begin enjoying the X window
     Server On Linux!
[Command Lists]
Note: You just need excute these Commands line by line,pay attention to
           the Notes to each command.(Red hat 6.0 In default,We will
           provide the coreponding command in each Note:
1 ] RPM -i I810Gtt-0.1-rh60.i386.rpm
      Note[ Redhat6.1] :
     RPM -i I810Gtt-0.1-rh61.i386.rpm
2 ] RPM -i   XFCom-i810-glibc2.1-1.0.0-rh60.i386.rpm
      Note [Redhat6.1] :
      RPM -i  XFCom-i810-glibc2.1-1.0.0-rh61.i386.rpm
3 ]  ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/XFCom_810  /usr/X1R6/bin/XF86_SVGA
      Note:
  Most time System will reported that XF86_SVGA already exists.
                    This Does Not matter.We backup it to another directory.T
hen remove
     this file :XF86_SVGA and excute this command again.(i)
4 ] XConfigurator
      Note: Now we start to config the video card:
       1). In the first dialog box we need to select the videocard:
                           [Redhat6.0]  Riva 128      [Redhat6.1]   Intel740

       2 Select your Monitor type:
           This is up to your monitor type,from redhat6.0 it supports
                      a lot of monitor.[We have a Acer acerview 54e also can
be
       finded in Linux lists.] So select you monitor type yourself.
      3) Now the system will confirm you to probe the server you
                          selecte:
  @Select [Probe]
  Now we can see the screen blinkS.It means  we have install the
  X server successfully. ln the following we will see the Xwindow.
  and there is a time limit for you to confirm the X window work
  or not.
  @Select [Yes]
  @Select [Yes]/[NO]
                                   Linux will confirm you if you want to
                                   change  your raphic.Here the selection up
to you favoriate.         We
     recomended you to select No to use console  login. If you
     need X window ,just type "startx".
                 @OK
     Now we finished confiure the X window System and it will work
     now.
4. Finished, Enjoy now!
      After the Configurator,will exit to console mode. Type startx. X  wind
ow Runs up
     now!
